This unit was structured around C-SPAN's annual Student Cam competition. Students chose a problem the new administration should work to solve in 2017, provided evidence of the issue, used video of politicians' discussing the issue, and interviewed experts. The project was designed to assess research skills, argument organization, technology use, and creativity students had practiced in our earlier mini units. This unit was very loosely organized. Students worked in their groups, and I simply provided resources (google docs, optional in-class workshops, short mini lessons/reminders).
